the Friends of the South Burlington Community Library have
been active in revitalizing library programs, library
materials and the library space through their membership
contributions, volunteer work and fundraising projects.
are concerned citizens who believe a dynamic library is the
cornerstone to an educated, caring, and stimulating
membership dues, donations, and fundraising
efforts the Friends Organization makes
significant contributions to enhance the
Community Library. The Friends have
sponsored the Annual Baby Brunch, the
Lifelong Learning Music Series, the Sunday
Afternoon Concert Series, and a variety
of other programs for children and adults.
The Friends donate needed library equipment
and materials, supply refreshments for
library programs, contribute to staff
enrichment opportunities, and they beautify
the Library with year-round and seasonal
Book Donations at Wheeler
House at 1100 Dorset Street Friends of
the SB Library will only accept donations
when the Book Shop at Wheeler House is
open—Thursday, Friday and Saturday
from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Friends will
accept fiction, children’s books,
cookbooks, gardening, non-fiction, books
on CD, Trade paper and paper back books.
Please look over the books and make sure
they are in good condition. If they are
not in good condition, you can take them
to Good Will, Hannaford’s, Replays,
Habitat, or local recycle center.
PLEASE NOTE: Friends will NOT accept,
VHS tapes, magazines, Reader’s Digest,
academic, foreign language, coffee table
or religious books.
